Together with colleagues around the world, you will create innovative human-centric transport solutions with low environmental impact and high customer value.In Powertrain engineering we are looking for a Principal Engineer responsible for engine brake. This position will be appointed in the Air and Gas group in the Combustion department. The group is responsible to develop sub systems for engine's Air and Gas system for the heavy duty engine platform.What will you do?You will get the opportunity to manage the engine brake system over its life cycle. You will work with both strategic and tactical direction as well as traditional component development work in projects. Through cross-functional collaboration you will balance and define system requirements, set system roadmaps and recommend system solutions to projects. As a Principal Engineer you will lead activities from research/early phases of development to product maintenance. You will provide technical advice and lead education sessions internally Volvo Group.Who are you?To succeed and have fun in the position we believe you are knowledgeable in both internal combustion theories; engine controls systems and hardware design. You will be responsible for component and system recommendations in different management- and engineering forums. The ability to combine technical knowledge with communication and presentation skills is essential. It 's important to be self-motivated and a self-starter. You will lead development activities with stakeholders from different technical disciplines and from different cultures.
