Principal Engineer - Co Manager

The section Cockpit & Surface Material develop instrument panels, tunnel consoles, CCB's and surface material. We are also responsible for the integration within the Cockpit. We are approximately 120 employees organised in four groups. The group Instrument Panel includes totally 46 persons. We are responsible for the design and development concepts for early predevelopment phases for Instrument panels. The work is conducted in line organisation and in cross-technical project team in close cooperation with suppliers and in different platforms in cars. Our participation in the development process extend from initial concept and feasibility study phases by the projects and finally to a production introduction. We are also responsible for staffing our projects with both mission leaders and technicians.

As a Principal Engineer - Co Manager for the group Instrument Panel you will have the same mandate and belong to the management team. This manager duo will lead the group in a creative environment where you contribute to our customer's car experience. As a Co-Manager you will together actively lead the group and be responsible for the technical development and competence strategies. You will together be responsible to give your group members the prerequisites for them to develop their competence and skills in a wished direction and that the right competence is maintained over time. As Co-Manager you also have the product responsibility for the group's delivery from predevelopment to running production.

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for design engineering and packaging of IP articles within Cockpit
• Take part in cross functional team meetings
• Time & cost responsible
• Documentation of IP articles
• Keep Tce, KDP updated
• Technical responsible for Instrument Panels within Interior
• Improve and develop work methods
• Improve and develop Instrument Panels strategies
• Develop the group members

Required qualifications

• Master of science or equivalent technical university degree or several years of relevant experience
• Management experience
• Experience from running projects
• Experience of working with integration and development of parts
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver's licence B
• Knowledge from other OEM,s or supplier within our area or similar is meritorious
• Experience from automotive or other comparable industrial function is meritorious

• Ability to plan, drive and follow up your own and your groups work tasks against common goals
• Ability to show courage and to build trust
• Good interpersonal skills
• A great communicator and excellent corporation skills
