As Principal Electrochemist you will lead the development and optimization of electrochemical aspects of the
disruptive metal printing method – ECPR* (ElectroChemical Pattern Replication), used for production of
micro- and nanoscale metal patterns in semiconductor and electronic components. The work involves
theoretical and practical aspects of nanoscale electrodeposition, and you will work closely together with other
functions of the technical team, such as equipment and master development groups.
Tasks and responsibilities
• General responsibility for development and optimization of electrochemical processes related to
the patented ECPR technology.
• Establishing and maintaining test protocols and procedures related to electrochemical process
modules.
• Analysis and characterisation of deposited micro- and nanoscale metal structures.
• Documentation and reporting responsibilities, including scientific publications and IP protection
tasks.
Qualifications
• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) with focus on electrochemistry.
• Strong theoretical standing within electrochemical principles, mechanisms and processes.
• Experience from electroplating/electrochemical deposition or corrosion is considered qualifying.
• Good knowledge in metallurgy.
• Strong skills in Design Of Experiments (DOE), statistical methods and analysis of process results.
• Documented R&D skills and ingenuity (e.g. patents, publications) is considered qualifying.
• Good understanding of yield management and IC manufacturing standards is considered
qualifying.
• Project management and leadership skills are considered qualifying.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
