Product Development Unit Base Station has responsibility for the design of hardware and firmware for all GSM, WCDMA and LTE base stations. The design unit manages development and maintenance of the base stations during their complete life cycle.
The TRX products design unit develops and maintains transceiver boards for radio units used in GSM/WCDMA/LTE base stations. The design of the transceiver boards implies high complexity digital HW design based on ASICs and FPGAs, analog receivers and transmitter design that includes AD and DA, a local timing unit and a DC/DC converter design.
Job description
You will be responsible for the design requirement analysis, specification, design, schematic capture, layout constraints, PCB design reviews, debugging, verification, and documentation of the digital part of transceiver boards for both existing and future radio units for GSM/WCDMA/LTE base stations. Your will also be responsible for resolving field issues and giving support to production. The work involves cutting edge digital design using microprocessors, ASICs and FPGAs, and requires close cooperation with radio, DC/DC and firmware/software design engineers, as well as layout designers and components engineers.
Competence
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of digital hardware design with several years of experience in high-speed interfacing techniques, such as LVDS and CML. You should have excellent knowledge of signal integrity and EMC/EMI issues. You should be familiar with Cadence development tool and have good experience of digital HW design verification. You should also be result and goal oriented, have high ambition and a strong desire to learn more and possess good communication skills in Swedish and/or English.
