PDU Cloud RAN is a new organization that will be leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering, with commercial engagements starting during 2021. The new PDU contains in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks & capability to contribute to open source communities in ONAP.

What you will do
We are looking for a Principal Developer with the aptitude to take technical lead in the domain Lifecycle Management. You will be a natural go-to person assuring that we got the right architecture, implementation and quality in our solution design. In this role, you will have ample opportunities to learn, grow, and challenge yourself and your surrounding teams to stretch beyond expectations. You will be part of fostering a creative and learning culture that sets new benchmarks for software development.
You will report to Head of Application Support Services 3 in Cloud Infra.
You will ensure that we as a company succeed in delivering a cloud native RAN offering to our customers, including:
• Canary deployment and upgrade of our Application Support Microservices, with minimum downtime, all the way to customers
• Following and influencing Cloud Native standards for Lifecycle Operations
• With RAN telecom specific requirements in mind, provide Ericsson industry leading solutions within the Lifecycle domain regarding robustness, data availability, consistency and service availability
• Contributing to and driving the industry's perception of Ericsson's leadership in cloud native technologies in the context of Cloud RAN solutions
• Evolve our LCM solutions to interact seamlessly with HCPs and corresponding orchestration solutions
You will be expected to work closely with the other PDGs or Function Groups to ensure that their requirements are met, and their needs supported, encouraging collaboration in the use of cloud native solutions. Your daily work is also close to the development teams, and other Architects.
You will work closely towards our market areas and customer units, as well as Ericsson's lead customers as it relates to this domain.
You will bring
• Solid domain competence in areas relating to cloud architectures, virtual networking in cloud platforms, container orchestration, network automation, network element life-cycle management and orchestration
• Deep insights in legacy as well as modern SW architectures, systemization and technology trends
• Deep insights, experience and genuine interest in CI/CD&D-solutions and automation
• A challenger attitude in combination with a genuine understanding of SW R&D throughout all development phases
• Ability to conceptualize and present complex technical topics to any audience
• Result orientated outstanding teammate with a genuine interest in people and the ability to work across organizational boundaries
• Willingness to continuously develop leadership and coaching skills in line with Ericsson core values
• The large degree of flexibility and willingness to change and to tackle different tasks
• The natural communicator, orally as well as in writing
• Technical education on university level in a relevant field
