hela Sverige MKS Data Analytics Solutions, a leading provider of multivariate data analysis solutions and support for the pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor and chemicals industries, is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer/Data Scientist. MKS Data Analytics solutions provide real-time process monitoring, root-cause investigation, early fault detection, process control and optimization. Additionally, the software enables engineers and scientists to quickly analyze and visualize large amounts of process and R&D data in order to make decisions for product and process quality and optimization.

Solve business related problems using advanced data analysis and data driven technologies
Assist customers with Python scripting
Collect large amounts of data and transforming it into usable formats
Communicate and collaborate with both IT and sales
Data preparation, data visualization and presentation of data
Create high-quality technical reports to be shared with customers
Teach courses both at MKS Umetrics facilities as well as at client sites
Education and Skill Requirements:
Minimum of Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or similar field
5+ years’ experience as a process engineer or PAT scientist working with chemical, biotech or similar processes. Ability to learn new fields such as biotech and pharmaceutical production.
Fundamental knowledge in statistics including multivariate, machine learning and similar methodologies
Database experience with SQL, NoSQL, Historians, Hadoop
Experience with programming or scripting languages, e.g. Python
A proven ability to interact with clients, and explain technical details
Support clients during and after performing the software installations, including trouble shooting and problem solving.
Technical teaching and consulting
Experience working with CRM systems such as SalesForce.com
Experience presenting technical materials to both small and large groups via story telling
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to initiate and lead projects; ability to work effectively in a team environment; ability to relate technical and business concepts to MKS Umetrics solutions and user needs; ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Travel up to 50% within the EU, as well as some international travel.
Sales skills a plus
