Bladins International School of Malmö, established 1987, is authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to teach the Primary years programme and the Middle Years Programme. With en enrolment of 375 students BISM is expanding after having moved into new premises in 2009.
The school has a committed and engaged staff, high academic standards and a holistic view of the individual. BISM is regularly ranked in the top ten schools in Sweden.
BISM is part of Bladins Foundation, a non profit-making organisation which runs a Swedish compulsory school and a Swedish upper secondary school.

Roles and responsibilities
• Working as part of the management team consisting of the School Director, the principal of BISM and the principals of the Swedish compulsory school and upper secondary school.
• Providing and communicating the strategic vision of Bladins International School of Malmö. In conjunction with the board, teachers and staff, the Principal will continue to lead the process to develop, communicate and execute the School?s future strategy and direction. This means to be more distinctive in an increasingly competitive environment.
• Leading the school through the application process to be authorized to teach the IB Diploma Programme.
• Recruiting and attracting high quality staff and motivating, challenging and developing them to be of the highest quality. She or he must further strengthen the School's culture and build passion amongst them to be the best, inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.
• Ensuring the smooth operation of the School.
• Ensuring a quality School Curriculum in line with the school?s mission, vision and values.
• Ensuring staff understand their responsibilities and working towards achieving the Mission and Vision of the school, thus ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Developing and communicating a strong heritage. The Principal will be responsible for defining and communicating a distinctive character and positioning that reflects the current and future values of the School. She or he will be responsible for driving communications, ensuring that Bladins International School of Malmö is broadly marketed and that a singular message is consistently understood both internally and externally using multiple communication platforms in order to maintain high awareness.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a higher degree in education, successful international experience in a senior leadership position and have extensive knowledge and experience of the IB programmes.
