The purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise and knowledge of semi-submersibles offshore platforms, FPSO:s (Floating Production and Oil Storage) and other floating and fixed offshore structures within the areas of Accommodation design.
Responisbilities and Tasks:
Plan, lead and perform the design and development of Accommodations using design tools as AutoCad and PDMS.
Plan, lead and execute project tasks in the area of general arrangements according to classification rules to ensure project deliverables are on time and to a high standard.
Act as an interface to other engineering disciplines and delivery teams.
Plan and lead the development of Accommodation design documents such as Design Philosophies, Specifications etc.
Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
Qualifications and Experience:
M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture (preferable), Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
10 + years experience of the Offshore Industry, preferable +3 years within General Arrangements or Accommodation Design.
Well developed knowledge about ship and offshore rules concerning the DNV and ABS classification societies, practical experience is required.
Knowledge of Artist Impression software, AutoCad and PDMS software.
Thorough understanding of the principles of approval by Classification Societies
Previous experience from working in a supervisor or team leader role.
Fluent and effective oral and written communication skills in English are required. Swedish and additional language skills are an advantage.
