The company started about 2 years ago and is centered in Copenhagen. At the moment we are three employees in Copenhagen including our primary guide and daily manager Maria. Apart from that we have about 15-20 freelance guides.
In Stockholm we started our culinary city walks about 10 months ago. We have tours up to 6 days a week all through the year. Our tours start in Östermalmshallen and end in Gamla Stan. The tour takes about 4 hours and starts at 10.00.
On the tours the guide (you?) will present the customers with 6-7 tastings of the best in Swedish food. The tastings make up a full meal. Also on the tours we tell a number of stories about Swedish food culture and the historical buildings we pass along the way.
We have been going since October 2013 and are seeing an increase of customers on our tours.
We are now looking for a new primary guide and manager for our tours in Stockholm, someone to take point in the relationship with our tasting locations as well as guide the tours.
The duties include:
• Weekly Skype meetings with our department in Copenhagen (Maria our daily manager, Gergana, sales and marketing responsible and Peter, owner)
• Sales work regarding incoming agencies, hotels, the cruise industry etc. (in collaboration with Gergana)
• Being the primary contact person for the tasting locations, improving and developing our product (in collaboration with Maria)
At the moment the job is the equivalent of a part time position, but we hope to make it a full time one.
We are looking for a person who perhaps already has a flexible part time job, or who is otherwise interested in committing to a start-up company, which requires a lot of independence and responsibility.
We have a number of freelance guides in Stockholm also, who can guide the tour in various languages.
Essential requiremnets:
• Some experience as a tour guide (or similar enough that you can fulfil the role of guide)
• Willing to be part of a start-up company
• General knowledge of the history and culture of Stockholm preferred.
• Fluent English (preferably also Swedish) other languages a plus.
• You must be able to work in a position that requires meeting different people every day and handling them in a positive way.
Önskemål/Desirable requirements:
• It is a great advantage if you have an interest in Nordic foods.
