ISH was established in 1995 to answer a growing demand for a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels. Today, we have approximately 800 students between 3 and 19 years of age attending our school across all programmes. The school delivers the International Baccalaureate curriculums.
Our teachers come from more than 30 different countries all over the world, and the same goes for our students. English is the primary language at the school.
Our Preschool, Primary and Middle School programmes offer an alternative for international families who are residing in the Helsingborg region on a temporary basis, or for those moving overseas. Our Diploma Program is an excellent choice for all students, Swedish or International, looking to further their studies abroad or in Sweden once they graduate. The aim of our school is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
ISH prides itself on its international uniqueness and diversity of teaching staff and students. Each and every one of them bring something exciting and enriching to the school which creates an inspiring environment. IB diploma results are considerably higher than the IB world average on grades, points and diploma achievement. We are currently looking to add members to our PYP team.
Publiceringsdatum2019-04-18ArbetsuppgifterThe International School of Helsingborg is looking for a Swedish and Swedish Special Needs teacher starting in August 2019. As a primary school Swedish and Swedish Special Needs teacher, your role will be to plan, organize, and carry out lessons for the students, ages 6-11 in the primary years program - especially considering a variety of levels and needs of the students.. You will have the overall responsibility for the Swedish language education of the students. You will work closely with the other teachers in our school, particularly the other primary school Swedish teachers and class teachers, following the philosophy of the IB education, but teaching the Swedish language curriculum.
You will be expected to interact with the students in a caring, gentle but firm manner. You will be expected to be professional and flexible, both towards your colleagues and the greater school community.
KvalifikationerThe successful candidate will have a Swedish teaching degree and teaching qualification as a Swedish Special Needs Teacher in grades 1-6. It 's a strong merit if you have work experience from primary school teaching in grades 1-6, but we welcome newly graduated teachers as well. Since we work in an international environment it is a requirement for the position to be strong in English, both verbally and written.
