We are looking for a primary librarian who would work in our school library on a 40 hour per week contract (semestertjänst). The library is for both the International section - PYP (English speaking) and the national section - LgrP (Swedish speaking). This position is a permanent position with a six month trial period (provanställning).
Qualifications:
Qualification as a librarian. Fluency in English, and in Swedish.
Essential experience:
International experience with primary school students.
Preferred experience:
Experience of the PYP programme.
Requirements of the job:
• Support the school by
• Managing, maintaining and promoting the school library and teacher resources
• Support the teaching staff by
• Identifying and buying quality resources for the school library and classroom libraries to deliver the PYP and the Swedish National Curriculum.
• Assisting in the delivery of information skills and information literacy teaching in the school.
• Organizing the loaning of books and resources.
Support children?s learning by
• Promoting enjoyment of, and excitement about reading to all children
• Establishing skills for independent learning and use of the library
