ABB is a pioneer and the recognized market leader in the FACTS (flexible alternating current transmission systems) field. The power converter solutions team develops and implements power electronics-based equipment and systems including Static Compensators (STATCOMs) and frequency converter systems in the power range up to 150 MVA and above. These are used by power utilities and industries across applications including static compensation for renewables and industries, railway power supplies and hydro pumped-storage power plants. To lead the motivated primary engineering team, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Primary Engineering Manager with high interest in people development, BIM and model based engineering.
Your responsibilities
Engineering cost as per project budget
Coaching of the team and individuals
Competence development
Resource planning and allocation
Ensure on time delivery of engineering activies
Quality of deliverables in tenders and projects
Process adherance and improvements
Technical support to team members

Your background
Minimum 5 to 10 years of Primary Engineering
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or civil engineering
You bring great knowledge in the field of plant layouts, related calculations, civil engineering and construction.
You have good knowledge in PLM and CAD tools used within both plant and civil engineering.
Strong leadership, communication and people skills with high focus on internal and external customers and their needs.
Good knowledge in English language, German and others are a plus.
You like to work in multicultural / international environment.
