The main mission for the Preventive Maintenance Engineer (PME) is to contribute to increased uptime, reduce downtime when vehicle is in workshop for service and reduce number of workshops visits due to service. In order to do so, PME is to create preventive maintenance master schedule Service Planning Bulletin (SPB) for our vehicles.
PME is a core role within Parts and Service, and working closely to all competences within the organizaton such as Feature Leader, Spare Parts Engineer ing and Information (SPEI) and Service Engineering and Information Management (SEIM).
Authorities
• Authority to validate SPB and Service Contracts related operations
• Authority to validate concept selection regarding maintainability/serviceability/spare parts assortment (SEIM, SPEI).
Responsibilities
• Read and understand targets in project prerequisites document and how it affects the preventive maintenance area
• Follow the Feature Leader Road Map to secure preventive maintenance schedules created for affected buses
• Coordinate globally test and verification activities
• Gather and analyze Product and Project knowledge with respect to preventive maintenance
• Update VOSP/PROMPT
• Secure Pre-Req contribution to redefine requirement specification from a preventive point of view
• Appointed point of contact to supplier to secure interval updates?
• Secure Required Parts updated

Competence
• Excellent Maintainability knowledge.
• Experienced engineer, fully proficient or expert about the preventive maintenance
• Good knowledge about verification methods and tools in his/her area of expertise
• Customer and End-user knowledge.
• Product (Transport Solution) knowledge.
• Competitor product knowledge
• Communication, planning and coordination skills.
• Excellent knowledge of RE related processes in DVP and associated tool.
• Standard Time (ST) and its impact on warranty, dealer and customer (SEIM, DE).
• Workshop knowledge.
• Good skills in engineering virtual tools (visualization).
• Fluent in English language
