hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Shell Raffinaderi AB i Göteborg Pressure Equipment Inspectors (PEI’s) are responsible for providing pressure equipment integrity assurance across the operating areas. The PEI is a challenging role that ensures all pressure equipment is designed, fabricated, operated, inspected, maintained, modified and repaired in a manner that provides pressure integrity and cost effective reliability. Equipment within the PEI’s responsibility includes pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, relief valves and piping systems. The Inspector works closely with the Corrosion & Materials Engineer, Technologists and Staff Engineers to establish inspection schedules, identify corrosion threats, monitor equipment condition, analyze inspection data, and make recommendations to ensure safe operation of pressure equipment. The role of the Inspector continues to evolve into a more predictive and comprehensive one. The PEI is most effective in providing integrity assurance with a full understanding of the corrosion and deterioration mechanisms in their responsible units. The PEI should also be knowledgeable of the risk profile of their equipment and informed about the manner in which their equipment is being operated. Armed with such knowledge, the PEI can apply resources in the most effective manner to achieve equipment integrity.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Establishes equipment inspection schedules with guidance from Swedish Authorities, Pressure Equipment Codes, Shell Specifications, Corrosion & Materials Engineer, and Risk Based Inspection methods. The PEI monitors and inspects the equipment within established schedules, analyzes inspection data, and recommends repairs to restore equipment integrity. The inspector performs routine surveillance of assigned operating area and makes recommendations to improve the reliability and performance of pressure equipment. Assures that inspection records are current, accurate and comply with applicable regulations, codes, and department requirements. The PEI must have a good working knowledge of these codes and requirements and know when to seek specialist advice and assistance.Provides daily run and maintain PEI support for assigned operating area. The Inspector responds to leak events to understand cause and develops recommendations to prevent recurrence. The PEI provides future inspection schedules to the Operations Maintenance Coordinator as input to the annual budget exercise.Prepares the PEI inspection plan and work list for unit turnarounds. Participates in scope review meetings and works with T/A planners to develop detailed work plans. The unit inspector serves as the Inspection Coordinator during the actual T/A execution. Other unit inspectors are assigned to the T/A to conduct specific inspection duties under the guidance of the Inspection Coordinator. The unit PEI thoroughly documents T/A inspection and associated repair work.

Desired minimum qualifications
Technical Schooling in Machinery, Metallurgy, Welding or equivalent
3 to 5 years of relevant inspection related experience in a manufacturing facility
Most critical job skills
Strong organizational & communication skills (written & verbal) Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people at all levels in the organ
