Someone who wants to take an active part in the overall strategy and development of profitable growth within SMT, ensuring that the Strip Division performs at its full potential. Your challengeAs President of the Strip Division, you lead the way forward with the aim to develop and grow the business and ensure optimized ways of working to maximize profitability and capital efficiency. Managing change and performance at the right pace in this complex setting is important to succeed in your mission, and with a systematic, yet driven approach; you lead your team in setting the long-term vision, developing strategies and efficient operations and inspiring the organization to commit to set direction. You proactively identify opportunities and build the foundation for future growth by driving the creation of a business that is positively perceived in the market and attractive to both existing and future employees. You are also committed to ensuring personal and team safety by promoting a "Safety First" culture. The unit today include 400 employees. The main site is Sandviken, Sweden, which is also the location for this position.In this role, you are an active member of the SMT Management team and report directly to the President of Sandvik Materials Technology. Frequent international travel is a natural part of the job.Your profileWe are looking for someone with a university degree, preferably in a technical or commercially oriented discipline, or with relevant qualifications acquired through significant experience. You understand the business of a manufacturing industry in a global environment and have at least ten years of relevant experience from a leading position in it. You also have proved success in managing people and business, and as we operate in an international setting, your communication skills in English are excellent, both verbally and in writing.We place great value in your personal qualities, as well as in your strong performance focus and strategic abilities. You show genuine business acumen and set ambitious targets, plan accordingly, deliver on promises and follow through, and equally important, you really thrive when given the opportunity to be a role model and build a strong culture.
