Today, we have approximately 650 students between 3 and 19 years of age attending our Pre-school, Primary School, Middle School and Diploma Programme with International Baccalaureate. Our teachers come from more than 30 different countries all over the world, and the same goes for our students.
Our Pre, Primary and Middle schools are located in our own building at Östra Vallgatan 9. These programmes offer an alternative for international families who are residing in the Helsingborg region on a temporary basis, or for those moving overseas. Our Diploma Program is located in a separate building at Nicolai School at Studievägen 2, and is an excellent choice for all students, Swedish or International, looking to further their studies abroad or in Sweden once they graduate. The aim of our school is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
Publiceringsdatum2017-07-25ArbetsuppgifterAs the preschool class teacher, your role will be to plan, organize, and carry out lessons for the students, ages 3- 5 in the preschool program. You will have the overall responsibility for the pastoral care of the students and have close contact with the parents. You will work closely with the other teachers in our preschool following the philosophy of the IB education. You will be expected to interact with the students in a caring, gentle but firm manner. You will be expected to be professional and flexible, both towards your colleagues and the greater school community.
We are searching for one position, full time. The position will be temporary positions until July 31, 2018.

We have a program of activities for both students and families in additional to the academic learning. Seasonal events such as Winter and Spring fares, sports days, our yearly Spring Formal dance, drama and musical productions, UF, open house, mässa exhibitions, and class field trips all offer unique opportunities to be involved. Students also actively take part in the many theme days that we celebrate during the year. Nobel Day, World Book Day, and International Day are just some of the themes that bring our students together as a whole school to celebrate together.
Every year a group of Diploma students accompanied by teachers attend a global MUN activity (Modelling United Nations). This year the students went to Shanghai where they had great fun, a great experience, and have lasting memories for life.
ISH prides itself on its international uniqueness and diversity of teaching staff and students. Each and every one of them bring something exciting and enriching to the school which creates an inspiring environment. IB diploma results are considerably higher than the IB world average on grades, points and diploma achievement.
KvalifikationerThe successful candidate will have a teaching degree in early childhood education and have experience teaching and leading a preschool class, preferably with IB experience. You are able to read, write and speak in English fluently.
You are a team player and work well in a team. It is important that you are positive, open minded and flexible. When working with the students, you are firm, but kind. You take the time to get to know the students and speak with them, creating relationships with them. You find it important to take initiative to make preschool a place where students enjoy attending.
As part of ISH, you are a flexible person who is able to work in an ever changing environment with students and colleagues from different cultures and backgrounds.
