Required for October 2013, an enthusiastic English/Swedish speaking preschool teacher for our newly opened preschool in Majorna, Gothenburg. We are looking for a fulltime positions who will work with children ages 1-5 years old.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the position the Teacher provide direct care, supervision and education to children in one classroom. This includes planning and implementing curriculum activities and primary care giving that meets the young children's developmental needs in social, emotional, cognitive, fine and gross motor skills. The teacher will rely on observation and documentation of children's development to further guide the curriculum and will routinely share these observations of the children with their parents. The teacher must be able to establish relationships with parent?s though daily contacts, conferences, orientations, and meetings for the classroom assigned
Must have the knowledge of growth and development of the specific age group of children he/she works with through developmentally appropriate language activities and approach in accordance with Creative Preschool and LPFÖ 98 Curriculum standards.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of classroom, playground and center.
Ensures open, positive and effective communication with classroom teacher,administration,staff members and parents.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Experience Required:
Two or more years experience in childcare setting is required. The ideal candidate is optimistic and displays a can-do attitude and is a team player. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to establish effective relationships with parents, children and co-workers, maintain high teaching standards and believe that the care they provide is invaluable.
Required Education:
Certificate in Early Childhood Education
Meets minimum preparation and experience required by Skolverket licensing for fully qualified PRESCHOOL TEACHER and maintains credentials for the position.
