2 openings: 2 native English speaker teachers with good skills in the swedish language.
We have two opening for native English language speaking teachers in our English section for children aged 2-4 years and 4-5 years respectively. Olympen, a private pre-school in Stockholm, was established in 1994. An English section opened in Febuary for, mostly, native English speaking children. Our profile “Pedagogik i rörelse” emphasizes movement, music and also nature/environment and outdoor time. At Olympen, language and reading development is prioritized. The pre-school is defined by a clear structure where free play and spontaneity play an important part.
As an employee you will have a large scope of freedom to develop and take decisions both independently and in a team.
The school is located on Jungfrugatan 51-53/Gärdet/Östermalm in close vicinity to outdoor areas and areas for play and movement.
Our spaces are completely new and especially designed with a focus on the movement and health profile.
We are looking for staff that take pride in their work and enjoy working with children and parents. You should be committed to what you do, have an eye to the future and be interested in developing a methodology which puts the child at the center.
Applications should consist of a CV and a letter of application. The letter should include information about the applicant’s areas of expertise, professional ideals, interests, reason for being in Sweden, own family and educational background.
In order to be successful in their application, candidates must; hold a valid teaching certificate and a valid work permit and, for one of the positions, be a native English speaker who would be interested in sharing their culture with the children. You must be able to communicate in Swedish as well. Extra qualifications in our profile subjects will be considered as a merit.
