hela Sverige Mother Goose International Pre-school was founded 23 years ago and it follows the national curriculum for Swedish pre-schools and runs a pre-school program for children ages one to six years.
We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The pedagogical approach is that the child is willing to grow, learn and explore, the child is competent. The philosophy is based on a deep respect for children's rights and potential. It's characterized by many features advocated by contemporary research on young children, including real-life problem-solving among peers with numerous opportunities for creative thinking and exploration.
Teachers often work on projects with small groups of children. The topic of investigation may derive directly from teacher observations of children's spontaneous play and exploration. Project topics are also selected on the basis of an academic curiosity or social concern on the part of teachers or parents, or serendipitous events that direct the attention of the children and teachers.
Projects begin with teachers observing and questioning children about the topic of interest. Based on children's responses, teachers introduce materials, questions, and opportunities that provoke children to further explore the topic.
The pre-school has an English language profile and all activities are conducted in a multi-cultural spirit. We have English and Swedish speaking pedagogues and we are very experienced in introducing international students to our program.
Description of qualifications:
Pre-school teacher qualification. You master the Swedish and English language well in both written and spoken and are genuinely interested in your profession.
You should have a solution focused and positive attitude and an ability to adapt activities to the children's interests and needs. You should be able to give children the opportunity to acquire a rich learning throughout the day in various activities based on our documents.
With a basic security in your mission, you should be able to meet parents and children and be service oriented. Your social skills are good and you want to work with groups of children.
