SANCHILD SWEDEN is a newly established office of non-profit and nongovernmental organization SANCHILD, that is operating in Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Focusing on the four main pillars of work: education, well-being, socio-economic development, and sustainable environment, our goal is to support and contribute to the development of sustainable peace and harmonious living for individuals and their communities. Our work is currently focused on the post-war Western Balkans region; however, we aim to grow and develop our programs in Sweden and throughout Europe.

Our programs include educational activities designed and led by international professionals, teachers, and coaches, and often delivered to sensitive groups and children. As we are a non-profit organization, the role of Communications Manager is crucial for the connection with the internal and external stakeholders, donors and building partnerships. As part of the SANCHILD Team, you will have the possibility and space to express your own ideas, suggest projects and contribute to the further development of the organization.
You will report directly to the executive teams from the three branches and will collaborate with cross-functional teams around the organization. You will ensure that internal and external communication strategies are properly implemented and effectively managed in-market and provide a consistent, high-quality, and cohesive project delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Planning and implementing relevant communication strategies and activities within the areas of:

a) Internal Communications: Preparing communication strategies, documents, and relevant channel management as part of the local communications framework. Creating regular activity updates, actively working on projects and annual reports.
b) External Communications: Preparing communication strategies and marketing materials, planning executions of external events (eg. Fundraisers). Be in close communication and active relations with key partners, donors, local media, and journalists, supporting the team with the presentation, speeches, managing media, training, crisis communications etc.
c) Public Relations: Maintaining social media accounts, websites, and actively writing updates, news, organizing campaigns, etc.

Be the strategic expert for the implementation of our values, practices, programs, and policies across our branches and among stakeholders.

Provide the support to the Executive and Operational Teams in project implementation, fundraising and reporting (including semi-annual, annual reports, brochures, flyers, etc.

Be in communication with the local media representatives (TV and radio appearances, interviews, etc.). This may include frequent travels to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland.

Write reports, annual reports, fundraising and marketing materials for all of the projects.

Work with the local team on organizing events and strengthen key partnerships.

Maintain a positive reputation at work and within the community.


Experiences and Skills:

High education degree is essential. Diploma in Communications or Marketing is a plus, but not essential, other proofs of education are acceptable.

Clear and demonstrable knowledge in internal communication strategies, preferably for non-profit organizations.

Proof of excellent project management skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bosnian/Serbian/ Croatian languages is essential, Swedish, or French languages are a plus.

Knowledge of digital design software (such as Photoshop) and video editing experience is a must.

You have thorough experience in working with external partners on communication, media planning and execution, preferably for non-profit organizations.

You have experience in event planning (e.g., conferences, fundraisers, seminars, webinars, etc).

Demonstrable experience working on social media, journalism, online marketing, content creation or equivalent.

Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to present new ideas effectively.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills. Work experience in an international environment is a must.

A dedicated, self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who is quality driven.

Excellent problem-solving skills. Able to focus on multiple tasks and effectively set priorities among projects

Ability to objectively interpret customer feedback and make actionable recommendations
