About us
SEEL - Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory, a new test and research center for electromobility, will open on the 31st of May 2023.
SEEL is co-owned and co-managed by Chalmers University of Technology foundation and RISE - Sweden's research institute - working alongside the industrial partners we need to make the transition a success. With a shared platform and access to the latest infrastructure, our work together will build on the continual breakthroughs in knowledge and technology in electromobility.
We will offer test, research and verification on batteries, cells, modules and packs, electric machines, drivelines and full-car testing including NVH and tempered testing. The equipment will be brand new and when we welcome our clients at the opening day, they will meet heavy duty complete vehicle climate dyno, Light duty complete vehicle 4WD dyno, heavy duty and light duty powertrain rigs, electric motor rigs and ISO 3745 NVH rig with axle dyno.

About the role
In the role as rig operator, you will be responsible to develop and maintain rig functionality. You will also work with the rig up time and performance and quality assurance. Your main tasks will be to calibrate, run and maintain powertrain rigs. You will also take part in preparation and setup of test objects. Our workplace safety is essential, and you will be securing operation that are both safe and with high quality. As you will work in close cooperation with our customers you will meet a lot of new people and play an important part in delivering a positive customer experience. You and your colleagues will build the first operator team at SEEL, and your work will make an impact! The team will grow during the year, and we are looking forward to welcome future colleagues. SEEL is in an early phase which brings exciting new opportunities every week! We are just a small group of employees at the moment, therefore everyone contributes to the business with tasks outside their normal job description. You will be in daily contact with the management team of SEEL to build this company together!
The position is a permanent full-time employment. You report to the Director Powertrain Testing and your team will be in Gothenburg and Nykvarn. Your workplace will be at one of the two sites, which one is up to you! Regardless of which, we will offer a modern and diverse working environment. Travel may occur.
Who are you?
We are looking for a rig operator with practical experience that will be highly valued as well as your knowledge around typical test objects. Your educational background could be from technical gymnasium up to a Master's degree. Driving license B is mandatory, C or/and D is beneficial. We communicate in Swedish or/and English, so you need to be fluent in at least one of the languages. However, good knowledge in English is a merit. You are willing to learn and a transparent team-player who contributes socially. We need you to be a driven, flexible and agile problem-solver with the ability to work on different tasks at the same time. This will be essential in the start-up phase, but also a success factor for the future.
