Power Electronics SW Calibration and Test Engineer
What you'll do
The Power Electronics Software department at Volvo Cars is proud of being one of the most successful players within SW development for Electric Vehicles. We are responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the Inverters in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best and most innovated functions to the market and continuously evolve our Software platform.
The Inverter Controls team is an agile team consisting of innovative, passionate, and dedicated people with a mix of gender, ages, and nationalities. We focus on collaboration and communication within the group, and involve new members by inclusiveness and support to settle in.
You will work with testing, calibration and fault tracing of Inverter and Converter SW. The test is done in different environments such as HIL, BoxCar, Machine & Inverter rig and Vehicle. You will be doing test manually but also work on automate our tests as a part of our CI ambition. You will also work on big data evaluation.
You will be part of the Inverter & Converter Controls team as a testing and calibration engineer. The Inverter & Converter team is responsible for delivering QM related Inverter and Converter functionality, ie. Mode management, Torque arbitration, HW protection, thermal modeling, Oil pump control etc.
What you'll bring
You have background within the Power Electronics field and is a natural initiator who commits to deliver the team 's deliverables with high focus on quality. You are a team player who contribute and bring out the best from your fellow team members and work actively to increase your work network.
You are passionate about development of complex mechatronic systems within vehicle electrification, electronics, and embedded systems. You are devoted to driving engineering challenges all the way from business case and concept stage to mass production.
We look for a person with a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within Electrical, Electronics, Controls Theory, Signals & Systems, Mechatronics or Power Electronics. You should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a tester or calibration engineer. English fluency is required in both speaking and writing. You should also have a European driver's license. Following competences are considered meritorious: Canalyzer, LIN & CAN protocols, INCA/MDA, DTECS, Sympathy, DSPACE, Control desk and Automation desk, Git, BE license.
