The purpose is to speed up the implementation of SiC technology to generate new competitive products. In close cooperation with industry partners and research groups we will do system evaluation for different applications and benchmark alternative technologies. Acreo is looking for a development engineer with focus on electrical test and reliability of devices and subsystems.
Development of power electronics for motor drives, power converters and inverters based on novel SiC devices.
• Design and construction of electrical circuits for device performance evaluation and reliability testing of devices and modules (typical 1,2-3.3 kV, 10-500 A and 10-100 KHz)
• Electrical characterisation and reliability studies of SiC devices and modules (bench-marking)
• Application specific characterisation of SiC devices and modules
• Investigation of alternative SiC packaging technologies in collaboration with suppliers
• Specification and testing of electronic system prototypes in cooperation with partner companies.
Work location is Kista (Stockholm).
Competence
You are a person with experience in advanced power electronic systems with an MSc in electrical engineering or equivalent education possessing:
• Practical know-how in power circuit design, construction and application from the fields of power generation and transmission, electric motor drives, vehicle electronics or alike
• Good knowledge of semiconductor devices
• Good knowledge of electronic metrology
• Experience of power electronic devices, packaging and reliability is an advantage
• Technical interest and ability to understand different technical applications

• Good English skills, written and spoken are required. Non-Swedish speaker will be offered Swedish courses.
