hela Sverige Örebro University is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in medical sciences for a fixed-term appointment.
Duties and responsibilities
Work and collaborate with research team in Emergency Medicine.
Supervise and lead (which can include supervision of doctoral/masters/research students) and develop research plan for evaluating emergency department delivery of patient care and ED bottlenecks.
Supervise data collection and analysis for these projects.
Supervise or perform statistical analysis.
Disseminate findings.
Liaise with stakeholders and policy-makers.
Participate in knowledge translation and/or implementation.
Teach in Emergency Medicine.
Eligibility
Eligible for the appointment as postdoctoral researcher are Emergency Physicians holding a doctoral degree in Emergency Medicine especially Emergency department flow and care. The doctoral degree should have been awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline. Candidates who have obtained their doctoral degree prior to that may however also be considered if special grounds exist (leave of absence due to illness, parental leave, clinical duties, an elected position in a trade union, or other similar circumstances).
Assessment criteria
Specialist in Emergency Medicine. PhD with relevance to Emergency Medicine and regression modelling with respect to ED flow and experience in teaching and training emergency physicians will receive precedence. General assessment criteria include good interpersonal skills and an ability to cooperate as well as the ability and suitability required to perform the duties well.
