The section is multiprofessional and multidisciplinary. We combine good teaching and qualified research with a good academic work environment. The position is part of "The New Ways program: identification, treatment and support for persons with common mental disorders to maintain and promote their capacity to work" financed by research grants from FORTE.
Dina arbetsuppgifterSPECIFIC SUBJECT DESCRIPTION A social medicine perspective means focusing on the importance of psycho-social factors and to develop interventions to prevent reduced capacity to work due to common mental disorders. JOB ASSIGNMENTS Duties include to plan and perform individual and focus groups interviews with first line managers in public and private sectors and to do qualitative analysis of these interviews. To collect data through web based surveys at panels of managers at different levels and to do statistical and epidemiological analyses of these quantitative data. Write scientific articles and work with research information dissemination through scientific and popular science channels. Teaching at the public health programs and to participate in pedagogical management and development at different levels are also required. Other assignments at the section should the occurrence arise.
Utbildning och erfarenhetELIGIBILITY The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. Qualified for the appointment as postdoctoral research fellow (forskarassistent) is a person who has been awarded a PhD or have achieved equivalent academic qualifications. Priority should be given to candidates who been awarded a PhD or achieved equivalent qualifications no more than seven years before the application deadline. ASSESSMENT Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. The primary selection criterion is scientific skills. Scientific competens in quantitative and qualitative methods will be judged as of greatest importance. Experience of research within the field of common mental disorders, work ability and sickness absence is a merit as well as clinical experience from psychiatry in those fields. The second selection criterion is teaching skills. Teaching experiences is a merit. The work requires good knowledge to communicate in both Swedish and English in speech and writing. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational training programme within the first year of employment.
