The Department of Crop Production Ecology carries out education and research on plants for food, feed and energy. The research is production oriented with focus on crop stands on arable land, and interactions with the surrounding landscape. We investigate how different production methods and cropping systems affect yields, product quality and the surrounding environment. The department is located at the Ecology Centre, a part of the SLU campus Ultuna in Uppsala. Together with several other departments, SLU constitutes an internationally recognised centre for agricultural research. For more information about the Department of Crop Production Ecology visit
www.slu.se/en/departments/crop-production-ecology/.Duties:
We seek a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the effects of size, carbohydrate storage, and meristem development stage of vegetative propagules mainly in perennial weeds, in relation to their growth rate and performance when competing with crops. The research will be performed within the framework of the project 'Are we controlling perennial weeds too late?' funded by the SLU EkoForsk program (
https://www.slu.se/en/Collaborative-Centres-and-Projects/ekoforsk-en/).Qualifications:
