The University consists of four interdisciplinary academies and the current position is located at the School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability (FIH). Here you get to work in a research and educational environment with a focus on sustainable development and entrepreneurship. The school trains future economists, engineers, environmental scientists and biologists. The school has approximately 120 employees and consists of five departments, the department of Biomechanics and Mechanical Engineering, the department of Construction and Energy Engineering, the department of Business Studies, the department of Environmental and Biosciences and the department of Innovation Management. FIH offers education at the undergraduate and advanced level, as well as doctoral education in the field of Innovation Sciences. The research is multidisciplinary and often takes place in co-production with other actors.

The primary duty involved in a post-doctoral position is to conduct high-quality research. Teaching may be included, but not exceeding 20 % of working hours. The position shall consist of the opportunity for formal training in higher education.
The primary work duties are as follows:
The research involves collecting and analysing primary and secondary data using mixed methods and writing high-quality scholarly articles on business administration. The focus will be on the commercialization, implementation and scaling of MedTech innovations by applying an institutional logic framework from an ecosystem perspective. The research will complement ongoing research in Health Innovation at the School of Business, Innovation and Sustainability and other schools at Halmstad University.
The candidate will be involved in applying for external research funding and engagements with national and international research communities.
Teaching duties will include providing guidance and support to MSc or PhD students associated with the project in Innovation Sciences and teaching classes in Business Administration and Economics.
Qualifications based on the employment regulation
The applicant has a PhD, or an international degree deemed equivalent to a PhD, within the subject of the position. A postdoctoral position requires that the doctoral degree was awarded within three years of the application deadline unless there are special reasons.
Additional requirements:
- Documented experience in business administration and/or innovation science.
- Good knowledge of finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship, such as performance measurement, public procurement, growth and internationalization.
- Very good oral and written proficiency in English
- Basic verbal skills in the Swedish language
- Good ability to develop and conduct high-quality research by using different methods.

- Communication skills
- Collaborative skills
- Knowledge and experience in qualitative and quantitative methods
- Experience in mentoring students and supervising Master's and Bachelor's thesis projects
- Work experience in life sciences and/or healthcare sector and/or finance
Consideration will also be given to how the applicant's knowledge and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department and how they contribute to its future development.
