Umeå University, in northern Sweden, is a dynamic university with ca.4,200 employees and more than 29,000 students, of which 1,300 are in PhD programs. The Department of Ecology and Environmental Science has about 170 members including 50 PhD students.

The Lake Ecosystem response to Environmental Change (LEREC) program www.emg.umu.se/lerec/index.htm at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Science www.emg.umu.se is a strong research environment supported by the Swedish Research Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning. The LEREC program aims to analyse ecosystem function and response to environmental changes by the integration of recent conceptual progress in aquatic ecology including both biogeochemistry and population/community ecology. One Postdoctoral position in
Aquatic Ecological Stoichiometry

Candidates should have a PhD. Applications should include description of past research accomplishments including a list of publications, curriculum vitae, up to 10 relevant publications, a research plan, and the names of three references, all in 3 copies. The postdoc position is planned for a period of 2 years starting as soon as possible.
