Department of Clinical Sciences
We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral position who is interested in compiling and evaluating how physical activity can improve the health and well-being of sports and companion animals, as well as what upcoming technologies and training are needed for good animal health care. You will be part of an international and interdisciplinary research group in veterinary rehabilitation.
Project description
Physical activity can contribute to, but also threaten health and well-being, depending on how it is organized. The interdisciplinary project offers a unique opportunity to explore fundamental questions about physical activity for sports and companion animals, to be able to provide future recommendations for a healthy life. In addition, the project provides an opportunity to study training in pain assessment and investigate which technologies are relevant for future animal health care. As a postdoctoral position in the project, you will conduct analyses of published data or via data collections in collaboration with experts from other European countries.
Your background
We are looking for a motivated researcher with a PhD in veterinary medicine or a related field. The candidate should preferably have previous experience with statistical tools and methods for analyzing published research data, such as meta-analyses or systematic literature reviews, and good communication skills in written and spoken English.
In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on the candidates' interest in the field, as well as personal qualities, teamwork, accuracy and independence.
