hela Sverige Postdoctoral Position: High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) subclasses capacity for mobilising extracellular arterial lipids: a feature that can be compromised in insulin resistance

You'll also be able to collaborate with a leading academic advisor who will provide further support and guidance. Additionally, we'll encourage you to attend and present at international scientific conferences and publish high-profile papers.
Your major responsibilities
• Investigating if HDL subclasses with specific structures/composition have dissimilar capacities for mobilising extracellular lipids aggregates in human atherosclerotic plaques
• Designing and conducting original experiments and subsequent analysis
• Keeping a good record of the protocols and result register
• Communicating novel findings to the scientific community at conferences and meetings
• Publishing scientific papers in high quality journals
• Working collaboratively with other experts
Minimum experience
• A PhD-level education (or equivalent) in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Cell Biology
• A detailed knowledge of ultracentrifugation, electrophoresis, chromatography and in vitro cell biology
• The ability to independently design and execute decision-making experiments and interpret the results
Preferred experience/requirements
• A strong passion for and commitment to science, and the ability to work well in a team environment
