The Stress Research Institute is a national research centre for stress, sleep and health at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Stockholm University. The Institute is divided into three research units, a research laboratory and an administrative unit. Within the Institute there is also an interdisciplinary centre of excellence for research on work-related stress and health in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet - The Stockholm Stress Center. Project description and Main responsibilities
The "sleep and alertness" division seeks a postdoc fellow to work on behavioural studies examining sleep, sickness and cognitive functioning in modern life and in hunter-gatherer groups. The main project will run during the remainder of 2019. Duties will include:
* planning, administrating and coordinating research projects
* manage data collection in the field and in the sleep laboratory
* manage analysis, reporting of data and article writing

The position include night work.

Qualification requirements
You should be a highly-motivated, and enthusiastic person with experience in our area of research. Weight is placed on personal qualities for the position such as a high degree of independence, a collaborative approach to research, having good interpersonal skills and being able to work productively in a team. Very good knowledge of Swedish or English, both verbal and written, is required.

Strong applicants will have:

• Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience, psychology or related field

• Experience in acquiring, analyzing, and interpreting psychophysiological data (particularly of EEG and actigraphy)

• Demonstrated ability to complete projects, as evidenced by first-author publications

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Strong statistical and technical skills (e.g., R, Matlab, Python)

Assessment criteria
The degree should have been completed no more than three years before the deadline for applications. An older degree may be acceptable under special circumstances, which may involve sick leave, parental leave, clinical attachment, elected positions in trade unions, or similar.

Terms of employment
This is a full-time position to the end of 2019, with the possibility for extension of up to 2 years. Salaries at Stockholm University are determined individually; therefore, please indicate your requested salary. Start date immediately or according to negotiation.
