We have a large network, both nationally and internationally, and well-developed collaborations with both industry and public actors.

Job description
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will mainly work on research projects in the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative measures to prevent food waste in different parts of the supply chain, e.g. in commercial kitchens and households. You will play an important role in working on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) across a wider spectrum. This means supporting LCA projects carried out by our research team, not only in food waste prevention, but also in other areas of resource recovery such as biotechnology, energy engineering, and textile technology.

Qualifications
The employment requires a doctoral degree in resource recovery such as in environmental technology, environmental management, sustainability, or another area/specialisation that the employer deems relevant to the research project. It also requires proven experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), relevant experience in the field of food waste, and experience in research on social aspects of waste management. A good command of English and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is also a prerequisite for the position.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration and initiative-taking qualities, an ability to work independently and in a structured way, as well as the ability to prioritise among work tasks.

Additional merits

• Knowledge of food waste prevention, including quantification of waste, and development and implementation of waste prevention measures.
• Documented knowledge of LCA.
