The project will target the design, commissioning and operation of a compact instrument capable to perform simultaneously X-ray absorption and emission with X-ray optical luminescence measurements.
The implementation of temporal and spatial resolution towards time-resolved imaging applications at the nanoscale will also be explored to exploit the unprecedented properties of the synchrotron light that will be delivered by the MAX IV facility.
The project will be carried in the Department of Synchrotron Instrumentation in close collaboration with academic research in the resund region. The MAX-laboratory is a Swedish National Laboratory in Lund, Sweden. It presently consists of three electron storage rings and provides photons from IR up to the hard X-ray regime, serving 800 scientists a year.
Önskvärda kvalifikationer
Eligibility requires a PhD degree in physics, engineering physics or materials science awarded not more than 5 years before the application date. Demonstrated practical experience with building of scientific instrumentation (especially low-current measurements) and knowledge of the X-ray techniques are necessary.
