At Chalmers, we are at the forefront of investigating quantum phenomena in materials and this postdoctoral position is part of a collaborative effort between the theory, synthesis, and device fabrication groups, enabling us to explore the control of electron mobility versus correlation in MOFs. The initial appointment is for two years, with a desired starting date latest March 2024.
About the research
The group's research is devoted to various fundamental aspects of Metal-Organic Frameworks, Coordination Polymers and Covalent Organic Frameworks with specific focus on synthesis and the analysis of structures. Our approach also includes topology aspects and a strong collaboration with gas sorption experts.
Major responsibilities
Your major responsibility as postdoc is to perform your own research in a research group. The position may also include teaching on undergraduate and master's levels as well as supervising master's and/or PhD students to a certain extent. Another important aspect involves collaboration within academia and with society at large. The position is meritorious for future research duties within academia as well as industry/the public sector.
Qualifications
We are looking for a PhD with experience in synthesis and characterization of Metal-Organic Frameworks who wants to develop both applications and advance the fundamental understanding of these materials. You should be a highly motivated, quality conscious individual with a PhD degree, or in the process of completing a PhD degree in chemistry. The degree should not be older than three years. You should find it motivating working alone as well as in close collaboration with others. Proficiency in written and spoken English is necessary, and knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Contract terms
This postdoc position is a full-time temporary employment for two years, with a desired starting date latest March 2024.
