www.ri.se RISE Energy Technology Center AB (RISE ETC) is a subsidiary of the national RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, which conducts research and offers services to industry, academia and society. The focus area for RISE ETC research is thermochemical transformation processes and the services offered relate mainly to competences in the core areas of combustion, gasification, pyrolysis, upgrading and biomaterials. Within our business there are currently around 20 employees, mainly in the form of researchers and technical staff, but with a need for further recruitment in 2018. Our well-equipped and adapted premises in Piteå consist of, apart from offices, generous spaces for lab and test activities. Our aim is to work in an open and creative work environment that promotes cooperation and team spirit.
RISE ETC in Piteå now seeks:
Postdoc for R&D work around gasification of waste materials
About the position: You will be an integrated part of RISE ETC and perform dedicated research activities within the field of gasification of waste materials. You will lead and perform experiments in a pilot-scale gasifier.
About you: You are an experienced, communicative and cooperative person who individually can perform experimental work and document scientific results. Furthermore, you have the following qualifications:
* PhD within the area of thermochemical conversion of solid fuels
* High level in English writing.
* Experience with different characterisation such as SEM/EDS and XRD is meritorious
* Experience in thermodynamic equilibrium calculations and computational fluid dynamics is meritorious.
* Experience in pilot scale experiments are meritorious.
Terms: Project employment full time (12-18 months) with employment terms as agreed. We wish you to start work in September 2018.
