Area of responsibilities/description of the work
The successful candidate will work within a larger project aiming for the discovery and characterization of pathological mechanisms in embryonal neural tumours. The candidate will primarily focus on the development and characterization of genetically modified animal model systems for the study of origin and novel treatment of medulloblastoma and neuroblastoma
The successful candidate will take active part in the development and characterization of transgenic animals giving rise to medulloblastoma or neuroblastoma. The candidate is expected to coordinate and support ongoing and planned animal studies including the in vivo testing of new treatment options and monitoring geno- and -phenotypic traits in transgenic animals.
The time period for the employment is two years.
Qualifications
To qualify, the applicant must hold a doctor's degree or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a doctorate. Applications are welcome from talented persons with a broad experience in translational research using preclinical animal models, preferentially at a postdoc level.
