Field of subject for the position: Postdoc fellowship in Bioresource Technology

Placement: Växjö, Sweden

Extent and period: 6 months, part-time employment 20 hours/week

Context of position:

The work tasks are primarily research in the research group of Bioresource Technology. It requires a good knowledge of biotechnology and microbiology science and methodology. The research involves studying how biological and other treatments can be designed to treat textile dyes and textile effluents in context with developing countries. The position requires a good knowledge of chemical analysis methods such as FTIR and HPLC etc. to analyze metabolites and degradation products. Duties may also include writing research applications and disseminating research. In your job you are expected to actively participate in the department's environment and network both internally and externally.

20 % of the work can include teaching and tutoring in the undergraduate and graduate level. 

Qualification requirements:

To qualify as a postdoc fellowship in bioresource technology related to waste water treatments and design, is the one who holds a PhD, or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD, and who have completed their degree no more than three years before the application deadline, in bioresource technology.

Good ability to communicate in English in speech and writing.

Applicants must not have previously been employed as a postdoctoral fellow for more than a year in the same or related subject area at Linnaeus University.

Assessment criteria:
Experiences and previously work with similar designs and solutions will be a merit.
