We're currently looking for talented scientists to join our innovative academic-style Postdoc. From our center in Gothenburg, Sweden, you'll contribute to live projects right from the start. You'll take part in a comprehensive training program, including a focus on drug discovery and development, given access to our existing Postdoctoral research, and encouraged to pursue your own independent research in cutting edge laboratories. This is a newly expanding program, which runs for three years, and spans a range of therapeutic areas across a wide range of disciplines.
What's more, as a Postdoc Fellow, you'll have the support of a leading academic advisor, who'll provide you with the guidance and knowledge you need to develop your career. This is an exciting area that hasn't been explored to its full potential, making this an opportunity to make a real difference to the future of medical science.

An exciting Postdoctoral scientist position is open in the Gene Therapy group within the Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Science. Our team pro-actively works to enable the delivery of novel gene therapy medicines by studying all aspects of CRISPR editing machineries, from early development to clinical applications. The Gene Therapy team is currently liable for the development of novel assays and models to understand and overcome any potential hurdles to the generation of novel CRISPR medicines. We are a multiethnic and variegated team driven by the passion for science and innovations, active in all stages of drug development.
Essential Education and Experience:
* A Ph.D. Degree in molecular/cell biology, genetics, or equivalent
* Strong molecular and cell biology expertise
* Advanced understanding of CRISPR gene editing
* Knowledge of Gene Therapy and viral delivery
* Successful publications record
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Desired Qualifications:
* Background in genome editing
* Experience in animal studies
* Experience in primary and/or cell culture
* Viral vector manipulation
Skills and Capabilities required:
* Molecular and cellular biology techniques
* Proven ability to work independently and drive innovative research by acquiring new techniques and technology, as well as forming internal and external collaborations
* Excellent team player with strong scientific work ethics
