Postdoc
at the University of Gothenburg, Institute of Clinical Sciences, Department of Biomaterials
This position as post doc is for a period of 2 years
Description of the project:
We seek a postdoctoral researcher in experimental and clinical studies in biomaterials research, particularly studies in experimental model systems of interactions between materials and tissues / cells of importance for tissue regeneration in the musculoskeletal field.
Department of Biomaterials is an international leader in the field of osseointegration of implants and prostheses. Within BIOMATCELL VINN Excellence Center of Biomaterials and Cell Therapy, and collaborative projects with the Sahlgrenska University Hospital, and Swedish and international universities and companies, we explore the mechanisms of tissue regeneration in both experimental and clinical contexts.
Qualifications
Successful candidates for the position should have earned a PhD degree in a subject relevant for the position. The PhD degree should not be older than 3 years.
The applicant should have knowledge of animal experimental methodology, morphological analysis and cell and molecular biology. Experience in experimental animal studies and analysis of tissue structure and function with associated analytical methods is important. It is understood that the applicant masters scientific English and has good general communication skills in English (both orally and in writing).
When evaluating the applicants, particular emphasis will be put on research skills in a relevant research field.
The applicant should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. The abilities to cooperate as well as to take own initiatives, are important qualities together with accuracy and interest in research.
