Post-Doctoral position
in Economics
SLU develops knowledge about natural resources as well as social systems – everything that lives and grows. At SLU we conduct research, teach and inform about the opportunities, and possible risks incurred, when using our forests, landscapes, soils and animals in different ways.
SLU offers a broad spectrum of educational programmes and single subject courses. About 3 300 undergraduates and 800 postgraduate students are enrolled at SLU. A total of
3 000 people are employed at the University.
Main campuses are located at Alnarp, Skara, Ultuna and Umeå. Research and teaching activities are carried out throughout the country.
The Department of Economics, SLU, Uppsala has units for research and teaching in Business administration, Economics, and Agrarian History. The Business administration Unit specialises in production economics, farm management, entrepreneurships, marketing and co-operative theory.

We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to strengthen our team working with production economic analysis. The successful candidate will conduct research on farm level land use policies with a particular focus on the coordination of bioenergy production with other types of farm production. It is expected that the incumbent candidate will develop an innovative research program combining empirical applications and recent developments in economic theory. The position is for two years.
Qualifications: The applicant should be highly motivated and have a PhD degree in economics (or equivalent). Experience in work on applied economic analysis using mathematical risk programming methods and dynamic optimisation is a merit but not a prerequisite. Highly effective writing and oral communication skills in English are required.
