www.ri.se.The Network Intelligence group at RISE AI specializes in developing machine intelligence and smart control capabilities of networking technologies. The group uniquely combines theory and deep systems knowledge to create AI-enabled networking infrastructures. We offer a creative research environment with possibilities to use our testbed of programmable nodes (USRPs) and high-performing servers for experimentation and validation of research results. Our work is fundamental for ensuring sustainable networking infrastructures and future digitalized services at large scale.We currently have one open position suitable for a post doc. As a Network Intelligence research scientist, you will use your expertise to develop data-driven network control mechanisms. The position offers great opportunities to work in close collaboration with industrial and academic partners throughout Europe.Who are you?The applicant should have a Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering or similar. Moreover, the applicant should have substantial knowledge in distributed systems (i.e. networking technologies, architectures as well as wired/wireless communication systems) and theoretical frameworks (e.g. optimization, numerical analysis, statistical analysis, signal processing, etc). Meriting qualifications encompass advanced programming (e.g. Linux kernel level programming) and algorithms; hands-on experience of programmable systems and virtualization (e.g. SDN, SDR/USRP, VNF, DPDK, P4, etc); methods within data processing, analytics, machine learning as well as platforms (e.g. Spark, R, TensorFlow, etc). Further qualifications will be assessed with respect to the applicant's proficiency in English, presentation skills, research publications, along with other professional experiences, including research proposal writing, project management and organizational skills.You have substantial interest in solving hard problems by combining theory and systems. You have the ability of driving high-quality research, individually and in teams, while ensuring good scientific conduct. You embrace the challenge of implementing your theoretical ideas into practically working prototypes. Your ambition is to perform innovative research towards a leading position within intelligent systems research.About the employmentPrimary location is in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden. We offer a full-time employment with immediate start for one year with possibilities to extension.
