Department of Economics
At the Department of Economics, research and teaching are conducted in the subjects economics and business studies. The department has master's and bachelor programs in economics, and a PhD program. Priority areas in economics are 1) environment and natural resources and 2) agricultural economics. The economics groups are in a period of renewal with two new professors and ongoing recruitment of two new university lecturers.
Duties:
The environmental economics group-see https://www.slu.se/env-econ-is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to boost our research team. The successful applicant will be expected to develop their own research in the area of environmental and resource economics, and to contribute to an ongoing project-To buy or not to buy-focused on the effect of transport policies on demand for private vehicles, and especially what factors may lead households to choose emissions-free alternatives, either an electric vehicle or no private vehicle at all. The position as a postdoctoral researcher implies at least 80% research.

Qualifications:
Successful applicants must have completed a PhD in economics, or be expecting to complete their PhD by March 1, 2019. Applicants should normally have completed their PhD no more than three years before the application deadline. Candidates must have strong competence in microeconomics and applied microeconometrics, and experience using econometrics packages such as STATA or R. Knowledge and experience with spatial econometrics, and experience in working with register data, are advantageous. Knowledge and research experience within environmental economics are also advantageous. The ability to work constructively in a small group is essential.

Uppsala.

Form of employment:
Post-doctoral employment, 2 years (with first year probationary). Good chance of extension to 4 years employment in total.

According to agreement, between 1 January and 1 August 2019.
