Translational Biomarkers in Drug Safety and Metabolism

Functional and Molecular Characterisation of Release of microRNA Biomarkers in Human Liver in vitro Systems in Response to Toxins and Drugs

As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Translational Biomarkers in Drug Safety and Metabolism, it?s essential that you have:
A PhD in Biology, Physiology, Pathology or Medicine
Extensive experience in wet laboratory work and molecular biology
An understanding of molecular biology methodologies
Experience of working with in vitro cell systems
The flexibility and independence to work across multiple laboratories and locations
The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
Experience with stem cells and 3D in vitro model systems
Expertise in hepatocyte/liver function, pathology and metabolism
Significant knowledge of microRNA biology
A proven record of biomarker identification and development
As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Translational Biomarkers in Drug Safety and Metabolism you will:
Perform in vitro experiments using molecular biology methodologies
Design and perform studies on the effects of toxins and drugs on microRNA expression and mechanistic investigations of pattern of microRNA release
Design and perform comparative studies with human liver diseases
Provide scientific leadership in projects relating to biomarkers
Present your results through peer-reviewed scientific conferences and journal..
