Imaging mass spectrometry studies for localization of inhaled drugs in lung tissue/cells and correlation to the drug duration of action

As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Localization of inhaled drugs in lung tissue and their duration of action by using imaging mass spectrometry it?s essential that you have:
A PhD in chemistry or physics
Expertise in mass spectrometry
Practical experience in MS imaging (TOF-SIMS, nanoSIMS)
Independent progress in a research project
A proven record of work, published in reputable scientific journals
The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
Experience of high-pressure freezing, in vitro and in vivo sample handling
A background of multivariate image analysis methods
Familiarity with handling lung tissue samples
As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Localization of inhaled drugs in lung tissue and their duration of action by using imaging mass spectrometry you will be:
Preparing samples, both in vitro and in vivo
Analysing samples using multiple MS imaging techniques including nanoSIMS
Performing data analysis, including multivariate image analysis (MVA)
Relating localization and chemical properties of the drugs to their duration of action and independently driving your project by collaborating with other researchers
Driving manuscript writing and presenting results with a high scientific quality..
