Regulation of drug metabolising enzymes in NASH - Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases

Unravelling the regulation of drug metabolising enzymes in a human in vitro liver NonAlcoholic SteatoHepatitis (NASH) model

As a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Regulation of drug metabolising enzymes in NASH, it?s essential that you have:
A PhD in cell and molecular biology and/or bioengineering
Expertise in working with primary mammalian cells
Proven expertise with advanced molecular biology techniques and strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
A proven record of work, published in reputable scientific journals
Evidence of independently generating creative solutions and an interest in pharmaceutical research
The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
A basic understanding of the liver steatosis/NASH disease area
Familiarity with drug metabolism and disposition
Experience of 3D cell culturing
Knowledge of bioinformatics and mass spectrometry
As a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Regulation of drug metabolising enzymes in NASH you will be:
Developing and characterising in vitro co-culture cell models that mimic different stages of steatosis/NASH in 3D liver spheroid cultures under static conditions and using a microphysiological system
Evaluating the level of expression and activity of drug metabolising enzymes in the cell models under different conditions and stages of steatosis/NASH
Elucidating the role of individual cell types and inflammatory signalling affecting the regulation of drug metabolizing enzymes at different stages of steatosis/NASH...
