As a Postdoctoral Scientist in CVMD Diabetes it?s essential that you have:
A PhD in a life science area, and expert knowledge in the field of metabolism and metabolic diseases
Strong in vivo expertise with mice or rats
Experience of standard methods to assess glucose metabolism in vivo
Strong organizational, spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team
A proven record of research, as shown by publications in reputable scientific journals
The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
Experience of the euglycemic hyperinsulinemic technique
Knowledge of basic pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles
Familiarity with quantitative methods, including modeling and tracer kinetic analysis
Expertise in cellular and molecular biology, such as mammalian cell culture, RNA and protein analysis
As a Postdoctoral Scientist in CVMD Diabetes you will be:
Designing and conducting experiments and interpreting results
Interacting and working with scientists across many disciplines, as well as working independently
Working with excellent scientists across many disciplines and participating in and gaining knowledge of the drug discovery processes
Developing ideas, showing motivation and focus
Communicating your results both internally and externally, through presentations at meetings and conferences, and publication in peer-reviewed journals...
