Post Doctoral Fellow in Social Work
The Department of Social Work announces a two year postdoctoral position within the framework of its commitment to develop competencies in the area of international collaborative research. The purposes of this commitment are to support young researcher?s independent work, to strengthen the department?s internationalization, and to strengthen prioritised research areas within the department.
The position is limited to two years.
Applicants must have a PhD (doctorate) in social work or in a discipline with equivalent competencies given the tasks and responsibilities inherent to this position. The doctoral degree shall not be more than three years old.
The successful candidate is expected to be an active and present participant in the research environment at the Department of Social Work and shall have an interest in its development. The successful candidate will participate regularly in the department?s research seminars and will present research activities there. In addition, the postdoctoral fellow will carry out research in one of the department?s five research profiles: ?The Welfare of Children, Youth and Family?, ?Care Work and Social Gerontology?, ?Intervention Research and Evaluation?, ?Organization, Profession and Knowledge? or ?Mental Health and Well-being in Social and Health Care Settings?. The successful candidate is also expected to apply for external research funding.
Particular consideration will be given to the applicant?s research proposal and emphasis will be placed on the applicant?s scientific merits within the research area. Applicants must have a good command of written and spoken English.
