Role Description
At the Bioscience Heart Failure department, which is part of CVMD iMED, the mission is to develop therapies that fundamentally improve the lives of Heart Failure patients and profoundly reduce health care expenditure. One key strategic research area focuses on cardiac regeneration, an exciting area that hasn't been explored to its full potential yet. This program will give you the opportunity to pursue your own research and to identifying novel potential therapeutic targets in this research area, making this an opportunity to participate and to gain knowledge of the drug discovery process, as well as to gain insights into various therapeutic areas and disciplines.
As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Cardiovascular Disease it's essential that you have:
A PhD in a relevant field, supported by hands on in vivo and surgical expertise in cardiac disease and regeneration models
A record of publication in reputable peer-reviewed journals
Scientific knowledge and skills in cardiovascular research
Significant knowledge of standard molecular biology techniques
Hands-on expertise in cell cycle biology and primary or stem cell culture
The following skills and qualifications are desirable:
Expertise in flow cytometry
Knowledge of cardiac development and physiology
A thorough understanding of stem cell biology
First-hand experimental and analysis experience of next generation sequencing data..............
