ABOUT THE ROLE

Our POS Procurement & Logistics team is looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Category Buyer for our POS (Point of Sales materials), with a strong focus on procurement, product development, briefing, technical development, and stakeholder management.
This role is 1 year contract to cover parental leave, starting end of February 2024.
In this role you will responsible for:
Source and purchase Point of Sale (POS) products globally to ensure cost effectiveness and quality, with strong focus on product development.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand design requirements and contribute to the creation of innovative POS solutions.
Drive new development of innovative and high-quality POS and Merchandise materials and to ensure that POS product meets technical specifications and compliant for PR standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration on product development initiatives.
Stay informed about market trends and industry developments related to POS products and technology.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and emerging technologies in the POS sector.
Through market research and collaboration with supplier to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings while meeting product development goals.
Monitor and control costs within the POS category to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and communicate product development briefs to suppliers.
Work with suppliers to address technical challenges and ensure the successful development of new POS solutions. Act as a liaison between stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand team, logistics and cross PR affiliates to support overall business objectives. Leverage the Pernod Ricard network to optimise production and avoid duplication of developments.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from order placement to delivery, ensuring product availability and minimizing lead times.
Support Demand planner and Logistics Coordinator to ensure stock is optimized and replenishment planned in timely manner.
Execute Global Buy window process representing TAG.
Acting as internal TAC knowledge hub in all POS production and material related questions.
Support the rest of POS team in providing POS financial risk assessments and estimates to Business Control team (stock value, monthly purchases, sales and stock rotation).
Ensure that necessary documents are in place including all safety test certificates, product technical specification document etc.
Identify and mitigate risks related to the POS category, ensuring continuity of supply and minimal disruption to operations.

You have ability to work in structured way despite of constantly evolving environment, with high integrity and sterling values. Your qualifications and experience in this role:
University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
3-5 years minimum experience in procurement or buying roles, with a strong focus on product development within the POS sector.
Strong negotiation skills, ability to brief suppliers, and experience in technical development collaboration.
You have skills in stakeholder management and the ability to engage effectively with internal and external partners.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
