Growth and Investments is one of three business areas in Schibsted alongside News Media and Nordic Marketplaces. Schibsted has a long history of reinventing itself, by investing in and innovating on adjacent businesses. Schibsted was founded in 1839 as a publishing house, but since then has redefined its core businesses multiple times from originally printing to news, media, online marketplaces, and adjacent services. Much of this transformation has been the result of making bold investments, based on emerging trends and opportunities. The role of the Growth and Investment team is to continue this journey and help Schibsted find new growth opportunities which develop the business and support its core mission, both through venture and later stage investments.

The Growth and Investments team is responsible for defining Schibsted 's future growth priorities and ambitions, and creating a holistic investment strategy to achieve them. We are now recruiting a Portfolio Manager to strengthen our team.

Our responsibility is to run end-to-end investment processes from sourcing deals, managing the portfolio, optimising integration and managing exits. Through establishing and nurturing our networks, we seek to have a relevant pipeline of potential targets, and we develop and execute value creation plans for portfolio companies. The value of our investments are realised through integration with the core business, or through profitable exits. Investments include both minority and majority stakes and in both mature and early-stage companies. Success will ultimately be measured by the performance of the investments.

As a Portfolio Manager you will be central in driving an active portfolio management and an efficient performance follow-up of the portfolio companies. In addition, you will support investment analysis, deal execution, primarily for venture investments, as well as projects for the portfolio companies. The role reports to the CFO and Head of Strategy for Growth and Investments, Susanna Grill Erntell.
